The OSPCA Renfrew County Branch is now working together with Crime Stoppers in the fight against animal cruelty and neglect.
If you don't feel comfortable talking to the Branch office, you can now report animal abuse anonymously to Crime Stoppers.

| Devastating fire destroys Humane Society of Durham
Region - It is with great sadness that we report that the Humane Society of Durham Region was destroyed
in a fire last night. The cause of the fire is still unknown. |

| Animal cruelty Criminal charges pending on puppy mill
case in Meaford area - Criminal charges are pending in a suspected puppy mill case involving two Grey-Bruce
County residents. One cat and approximately 100 dogs of various mixed small breeds were seized on December
1, 2008, including Bichons, Pekingese, Papillons and Lhasa Apso types. |

is looking for donations for their "All For Animals" Charity Auction. All funds raised by the Charity Auction
go directly to helping the OSPCA give animals a second chance. |

| CAT MONTH ADOPT-A-THON (2008) - The Ontario SPCA Renfrew County Branch
is holding an Adopt a Cat Month Adopt-a-thon this Saturday June 14th. Every spring there is an abundance of
cats and kittens of every age and personality waiting for homes. To promote awareness, the Ontario SPCA is
celebrating June as Adopt-A-Shelter Cat Month and shelters across Ontario will be promoting cat adoptions
through promotional events, educational materials and awareness campaigns. |

| Shelley Lisk of Pembroke has been charged by the Ontario SPCA under
the Criminal Code of Canada with failing to provide suitable and adequate food and care for a senior German
shepherd type dog found barely able to stand in her backyard. |
| UPDATE: On April 25, 2006, Shelley Lisk, 41, of Pembroke pleaded guilty in the Ontario
Court of Justice, Pembroke, to the Criminal Code of Canada charge of failing to provide suitable and
adequate food and care in relation to, J.J., a senior German shepherd-type dog found barely able to stand
