Where to Find a Pet

"Generally, or at least very often, people with a deep interest in animals are the best people around."
- Roger Caras, author, president emeritus of the ASPCA

Animal Shelters

Of course we believe the best place to get a new pet is right here at our animal shelter. We always have a full house of wonderful animals waiting for new families to love.

Our job is to assist you in matching the right pet to your family and lifestyle. The staff will be happy to tell you the history on each animal, answer any questions you have and to bring the animal out of their kennels to meet you.

Adoptions Main

Other shelters offer similar services. We will be happy to provide you with access to their contact information if desired.

Rescue Groups

Rescue groups are usually made up of individuals with a common interested in a specific breed. Often the animals are placed in foster homes until they are adopted into suitable homes.

Reputable Breeders

Reputable, responsible breeders can usually be located through veterinarians' offices, dog or breed clubs, CKC directories or through referrals. Reputable breeders do not usually need to advertise. Most often their litters are spoken for before birth.
